Saturday…..heading into a short week!

Wife arrives back home tomorrow. Thank god. Beer and porn do not substitute her at all!

Being today is Saturday, I need to pick up on all the stuff i SHOULD have done during the week:

wrap birthday gift
do laundry
clean bathroom
clean bedroom
wash dishes
buy some groceries
fix camera
wash car
etc..

I can’t be trusted alone, I get nothing done. But I did pay the credit card bills and I think that’s about it.

Pro-Am FD at Irwindale today. Good for them, I wont be going. Instead I’ll be relaxing at home. Have fun there Logan, Jack, John.

Finally figured, what I feel, figured out what I’m going to do for a new drift car. Wife is excited on the idea and totally approves, that’s a huge plus. And though my knowledge is limited, I got enough buddies with expirience on the new car. So we’ll see. Now is the hard part, get enough $$ together and getting lucky!

Next week work 3 days and then down to uncle’s house in San Diego. I’m really extremely excited for this to see my parents (who will also be spending Thanksgiving with us there) and my auntie and uncle and my two youngest cousins (youngest of 8 grandkids). I also still have a bunch of their DVDs and a futon from like a year ago (never dropped off) so can take care of that too!  I plan on eating lots of good foods and maybe some BBQ action as well as site-seeing in the greater San Diego area and just having a grand time with family! I do especially look forward to seeing my mom and dad, being last time I saw them was…I’d say a good 4 or 5 months ago. So that will be a real treat!

 

Car stuff again, the new beater car should be registered shortly. Gotta really fix that starting issue ASAP and hopefully if all goes AS PLANNED, driving at JUST DRIFT next weekend Sunday. I hope can do it, and crash at my buddy Nick and Teruyo’s lovely home on Saturday night. We always have a great time with them. Such good people and so hospitable!

Being its 10am, time to eat some cereal and being my busy day.

DELAY.

Hey yeah I suck at this. But I’m also not a whore like some bloggers. F my day to day life, it basically sucks. Right now I’m drinking some booze and watching porn. Deal with it.

This weekend hit up the REDLINE TIME ATTACK. Talk about BORING. Thank god I was there with CTO John and Carl Rynquist. We hung out and watched him whip the pants off ‘race dudes’ with R Compounds and shit. Carl’s setup…Hankook RS3s up front and RS2s out back. Still ran great times, did like a 1:49.1 or something. Shit was bonkers. End of day didn’t pan out so hot, but shit, still a good time.

Beyond that it was mad boring. I was ready to start directing traffic on the main straight.

The one thing that did get my motor going is NSXs. Damn I wish I could afford this overpriced HONDA.

I prefer the older ones but I’d live with a new one.
This white one really made me crazy.

This black one, minus the ugly wheels, body was in great shape. Too bad the dude was cheap or poor cuz it had a NRG detachable steering wheel. What a shame.

Beater car is still pissing me off. And working to get rid of my old shell. Fortunately my buddy John said he’d take it. So we might do something cool (yet super lame) with it, so we’ll see. No one wants to spend money on it, so worst case, hello junkyard!

I haven’t sold all my s13 stuff, since this MARKII business is way up in the air (never hold breath), might end up doing an S13 again. I do prefer fastback, but as far as styling, not sure. I dont want a huge pain in the ass like my last car of a top mount turbo and big expensive wheels, might go simple. I have a few fantastic ideas that are just mind blowing, but not sure which route to go. Until then, still gonna drive it as a beater car and improve my driver/drifting skills, as they are much needed to be polished up.

 

Got a few other tricks up the sleeve we be working on. If someone gets their hands off a project, hope to take it over with a close friend.

Weekend was wasted.

Worked Saturday, so that was pretty much toasted.

 

Today was somewhat eventful. Woke up around 8. Got to  working on the car around 10ish. Also met up Internet Famous AZNDOC and got him some axle bolts/nuts and ends up he needs rear hub bolts too. Awesome. Lucky guy my car is coming apart and we are cool with eachother. Maybe I should rip him off like I did back in the day. That would be hilarious.

Today dropped that sweet TOMEI 2 way out for my CUSCO 1.5 way and the 4.3 gear. Starter still doesn’t start, though I feel something else is going on. Gotta trouble shoot before I start dropping more money on this pile.

Changed the front spindles and tie rods to Tein and 3UP. So thats good. Gotta cut off the LCA stoppers and I’m golden there. What else is left? Hmmm, good question. Maybe a nice wash.
Currently working on getting my OLD (previous) S13 ROLLING over to CTO (Thanks John, XOXOXO) and that should be the end of that. Getting stock stuff is funny because people think their OEM items they were gonna throw in the trash is worth gold. Funny because it ain’t worth shit!

Easy work. Now my back hurts (damn LSD) and so gotta post that online for sale ($600) and that’s about it. Almost time for that 2871R and going to redo my AN line setup as well, go with the BLACK route. haha..

 

Also spent about 20 bucks on root beer, sarsaparilla, cream sodas and beer from various countries today at BevMo. Place is hard to leave empty handed, so many great things to try!!!

 

Also down about 6 lbs on the scale for the past week. So pleased with that. When I was in Japan, Hoshino lost like…a baby. He was so skinny from before, it blew my mind. I guess that what happens when you run 10km a night for 3 months and counting! Too funny.

 

Work tomorrow. Now where’d I put those razors and I think the tub is hot enough now….

Pay day Friday. No complaints there. And currently no bills to pay. YEAH!

Busy day. 1 out of 3.

So today was a out of normal day for me. Since I am stuck working a crumby Saturday (At least once a month), I got a few things done.

Firstly was to get the new car smogged and registered. Yah, that didn’t happen. Thanks.

Second, was to go to CTO (http://citytireonline.com/news/) and get the tires taken off the SUPER DUPER AMAZING Nismo LMGT4s (currently for sale for $2400).

That was done. Met the new dude, Charlie, who might have a man crush on me? Because I felt uncomfortable a few times. A solid dude nonetheless, and he actually shows up (and on time). So double bonus there!  Hung out there, ate some crumby Chinese, and as I write this, I realize I never paid John. Sorry. I’ll get you money next weekend or sooner.

And while I was at the DMV, I finally got license plates for my truck (F you dealer, idiots). Only cost $19 dollars, so after 45 mins, that’s all I had to pay. So that was a added bonus. Too bad though, can’t run stop signs anymore. But it will be nice towing a trailer that lost its license plates and using a truck with no plates, wont happen anymore. Well, at least 1/2 of that.

Finally, got the beater car a bit more riced out (Video later when I get this goddamn camera fixed). Added some stickers, put in my reverse noise.

Next up is a DVD player/tv head unit and put the cage in. Swap out the D DRUG coilovers for my DG-5s, put the 3UP spindles and S14 LCAs on the car as well as replace the rear brake pads and order good pads up front. Oh, I also this weekend need to drop and sell the current TOMEI 2-way and put in my CUSCO 1.5 way with the 4.3 ring gear, which is amazing.

I think thats about it.

And Rich Bible, gone, but never forgotten. Always in my heart. Miss you buddy!!!

Thinking..

about stuff today.  Few things.

 

Once BH gets a nice job, he should buy an SR asap. Dude is a radical driver and needs this. Plateaued for years, and this would put him on the next level. Even a stock SR with basic stuff. It  would be amazing.

 

Baby’s car is coming along but not feeling 4 degrees caster. The tie rod hits the LCA too soon because its all back more. Hurts angle, at least thats what I think now.

 

And it’s not even Wednesday yet and I want to kill myself.

 

CTO on Thursday I think and pick up some sweeeet car parts, I hope!

Almost a week later…

and how the Hell did BH find this? Internet master.

So the beater car runs now, replaced the starter. And it runs perfect. Going to smog it and register this week, got a day off to do that it seems!

Helped internet famous jack clean out his garage.

Today going to mall,  picking up COACH bag for wife’s friend, I guess legit ones are cheaper here and then maybe some car parts

 

and for BH, no CHASERS. saw lots in person on my last trip. Saw SAITO’s at DRIRFTSPEED. NO sir. If I’m given the choice between, Chasers, MarkII and Cresta’s, MarkII for sure. Hands down.

I did like this one though, at Hoshino’s shop. Got some body work done of course, repainted fenders bumper and such. Hoshino pulled the rear fenders and fronts for him sometime ago.  I think the SSR wheel look good on it!

But even with that, I’m still all about JZX100 MarkIIs

Sold out.

Yeah.  I set up a blog.  What the hell for? My life is boring and I do almost nothing. Well, now you too can enjoy my same excitement for life.  Mostly to keep track of the sweet car stuff I do and my sweet current, old and upcoming projects.  I definitely wont gay it out like some blogs only posting food or pictures of their pets.  So this first post on this blog will be ridiculously long, but after that, should be boring and small and you’ll probably stop visiting about a week after I stop updating.

Let’s turn it up a notch. Turn on your sound and rock out first.

Probably listened to the album about 5 times last night at Baby’s house w/ internet famous [Azndoc] Jack.

Old car. Ripped.  RIP. It was amazing, still is. Parts of it live on with the new, but mostly gone. The heart of it will survive and thats all I care about.

Picked up a new beater car from an old friend, Chris Nguyen, old timer drifter dude. Cool as a cucumber. Its a ‘pile’ but not really, has all the goods I want, just not so pretty.  And I’m ok with that.

So put in the spare stuff now, Brix, shifter, rice, steering wheel. Going to drift the KA after thanksgiving at Just Drift! probably. Teach the wife to drive too, 5 speed. Should be…..interesting!

Also got back from Japan last month.  Probably the best time ever. Hanging out with so many old friends, it was amazing.  And next to no pictures of anything from it really.

Last thing on the horizon is getting a new drift car. So working on getting a JZX100 MarkII stateside, so hopefully that will eventually work out in 2010.

Already got a few sweet parts for that of course.
